Aspire2Be has today launched as the official Digital partner of the Welsh Rugby Players’ Association (WRPA), signing a two-year partnership.
The formalisation of the partnership follows more than a years worth of collaboration between the two organisations to look into ways to evolve the support that the WRPA provides professional rugby players in Wales, both present and past.
Players in Wales have access to a Personal Development Program (PDP) consisting of the following four pillars: Vulnerabilities, Career and Education, Life Skills Development and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
The first step in this multi-season deal will see the launch of a bespoke players app; giving players access to resources, affinity partnership deals and support services at the touch of a button.
Jeremy Stephens, Partner of Aspire2Be said: "We are very excited and proud to be named as the WRPA's Digital Partner. Digital competence is now an every day life skill for everyone so being the only UK company that holds Professional Development Partner status for Microsoft, Google and Apple means the support on offer to each and every player is unprecedented."
Andries Pretorius, CEO of the WRPA said: "Like the WRPA, Aspire2Be take a progressive approach to everything they do, and in a society that continues to become more digitally advanced having a Welsh based, multi award winning learning technology company to collaborate with is very exciting. This partnership will also open the door for learning and work experiences for our members in a number of business sectors thanks to the extensive range of specialist services Aspire2Be offer both inside Wales and beyond."
